Please come to audition on September 3. No one will be turned away, auditions are for placement and casting only. Beginners will be placed in the Main Ensemble group and moved up as spots become available in the advanced group.

The Company group will perform a Christmas concert in December.

The Company group will prepare a full musical for a December performance as well as choral music for concerts and events.

The ARIZONA YOUTH CHAMBER ENSEMBLE (AYCE) is a non-profit organization whose primary purpose is to provide serious young singers in Tucson with an opportunity for music and dramatic education and performance.  The ensemble is co-directed by Ms Stephanie Fox and Mr. Thomas Brower, with acting instruction provided by Mr Steve Anderson.  Membership is open to students from middle school up until age 20. AYCE students are selected through an audition process and represent a cross section of all students in the Tucson area. AYCE is an excellent opportunity for home-schooled and private schooled students who do not have any group performing experiences available through school.
Since 2003, one of the goals of AYCE is to give students equal opportunity to perform music that reflects their own personal tastes while increasing their knowledge of choral and stage music in both contemporary and classical works from the standard repertoire. To that end, AYCE performances exhibit a broad range of styles and languages as well as a variety of different genres of material.
AYCE is a unique organization that fills the need for a professional quality ensemble of Tucson’s young singers, giving them an opportunity to gain performance experience in solo and choral singing as well as staged works all in a positive and nurturing environment.
The differences between AYCE and other choral programs in Tucson are:
  • AYCE focuses on the individual as a performer
  • Students in the ensemble are serious about pursuing performing arts at the college level
  • AYCE is a mixed ensemble
  • Students receive one on one vocal & dramatic coaching from private vocal instructors or ensemble directors or both
  • All members are encouraged and given the opportunity to perform solo repertoire in the style of their choice
Tuition is $50 per month and scholarships are available.
